“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body…” — 2 Cor. 5:10
Will we lay up treasure in heaven? No matter your age, if you have not already, start now. (Matthew 6:19-21)
Right after High School people usually have the most freedom to serve God and go anywhere. In that era, we can set a trajectory to go anywhere and take time for training to be fruitful. If we walk in obedience by faith in God's word, we can set a trajectory for our lives that is full of life-long blessings for ourselves and others.
20's Training. Many people burden themselves with college debt, vehicle loans, and home purchases that greatly reduce their mobility. Getting away to serve in full time ministry means letting go of a lot of other things. With wise choices, time spent in training can open many doors for effective long-term ministry.
30's Serving. Marriage, children, medical needs, stability, and comfort govern the lives of most people. Breaking away to serve is hard but those who break away early to serve God find that they can manage needs along the way as they serve God.
40's Children. Needs of their older children often govern the location and freedom to serve. Education. Health. Medicine.
50's Grandchildren. Parents. Health issues, family needs, especially of emerging young adults, as well as the needs of aging parents, often directly impact mobility and service.
70's. Elderly. The lives of most people will be directed by the life choices that they themselves and the people they love have made during their lifetime. Strength fades along with resources. The needs of children, grandchildren, elderly parents, and their property take their time and attention.
