Among roughly 8 billion people there are about 12,300+ people groups, or ethno-linguistic groups with a common self-identity.

For strategic purposes a people group is the largest group within which the Gospel can spread without encountering barriers of understanding or acceptance.

Over 7,200 of these people groups have insufficient witness from the global Church to share the Gospel with everyone once in their lifetime.

Roughly 2,800 of these groups are unengaged by the global Church. For each one there are about 145,000 evangelical Christians — a staggering ratio that shows the need is not awareness but willingness.
